Toasting greener production in the Kyrgyz Republic

The EBRD has helped a big brewery in the Kyrgyz Republic modernise its premises and install cutting-edge, climate-friendly technology, thanks to our Finance and Technology Transfer Centre for Climate Change (FINTECC) Programme, which is funded by the Global Environment Facility.

With donor funding from the United States, we helped Kulikovskiy Tort, a confectionery manufacturer in Kyrgyzstan, grow and expand. The project helped to improve the quality of their cakes and pastries, introduce new product lines, and facilitate an in-depth study of potential markets. These efforts led to the opening of stores internationally as well as a significant rise in export sales.

Morocco

Wind power for Morocco

Renewable energy generation in Morocco has received a boost with an investment by the EBRD and Banque Marocaine du Commerce Extérieur (BMCE) plus a concessional loan of €10 million from the Climate Investment Fund’s Clean Technology Fund (CTF). This funding will enable the construction, operation and maintenance of the Khalladi wind farm, near Tangiers.
